Announcing Enhanced Background Check Consent Process for MIE Compliance

Wamly is pleased to announce the release of our updated consent management features for MIE Background Checks.
This enhancement is designed to ensure full compliance with the latest industry requirements and maintain the integrity of your screening process.

Why This Update is Necessary

A recent version update to MIE's background checks requires a new, specific form of candidate consent. Consequently, consent granted by candidates for previous versions is no longer sufficient for initiating new checks. Our new system addresses this by enabling you to seamlessly request and track this updated consent.

A Simplified Workflow for Administrators

We have integrated this new functionality directly into your existing workflow to minimise disruption. As an administrator, you can now monitor the status of every candidate's consent directly from your project view. See example below:



A second chance

This process also allows users to reach out to candidates who initially declined consent during the candidate journey and provides them with another opportunity to consider providing consent further down the pipeline.


The Background Checks column provides you with at-a-glance information, empowering you to manage any required actions efficiently. Options here include:


  1. Consent  Given


  1. Consent Denied


  1. Consent Not Provided. Click on the Renew Consent button.


  1. Consent Pending 


Initiating the consent request is a seamless process. By clicking the 'Renew Consent' button, the system automatically dispatches a secure email to the candidate. This email contains a unique link for them to review and submit their updated consent. Upon submission, the candidate's status is automatically refreshed in your dashboard, ensuring administrators have an accurate, at-a-glance overview of all consent statuses in real-time.
