Product Release: Wamlyjobs Candidate Portal + Wamly’s New Look (18 September 2026)

Product Release: Wamlyjobs Candidate Portal + Wamly’s New Look (18 September 2026)

Job seekers on Wamlyjobs now get their own account. And inside Wamly, we have moved everything into one sidebar. Let’s take a peek at some of our latest updates.

✨ New Features

Wamlyjobs: every job seeker gets an account: Job seekers can now sign in to Wamlyjobs and manage their applications from their own account. They simply enter their email address and use the code we send them, so there’s no password to remember.

Inside their account they can:

  • See every job they have applied for, in one place.
  • See exactly what step is still left on each one.
  • Pick up an application they started and never finished.
  • See invitations they missed in their email.
  • Keep a profile that you see when they apply.

Why this matters to you: fewer half-finished applications, and better details on the people who apply.

Share our How-To Guide with your candidates so they know what to expect.

A warning when a job is about to close: If a job closes in the next five days, we now say so right on the candidate’s card. It counts down — “Closing in 3 days”, then “Closing today”. Fewer good people miss the cut-off.

🎨 A New Look

We have moved all document and navigation controls from the top bar into a single left sidebar that you can expand or collapse whenever you need extra workspace. This creates a cleaner layout across every screen while keeping your essential tools easily accessible.

Approvals can now check why a job is open: You can build an approval rule around the reason a role was opened. Pick from New Role, Backfill, Expansion, Project-based, Restructure, Seasonal, Talent Pool, Temporary or Other.

Driver checks: Wamly now offers driver checks via our integration partner. This includes the professional driving permit (PDP) check.

Charge MIE checks to the right branch: You can now link your MIE Cost Centre Branches to your Wamly Cost Centres. Every check goes to the right branch instead of one big account. Your finance team will be happy.

🚀 Improvements

Approval emails you can read at a glance: We rewrote them. Now you see what’s needed, which project it’s for, and who asked — right away. No more long paragraphs.

Change your mind on an approval: An approver can now see their own decision and reset it, straight from the workflow card.

Salary rules now check the currency too: A salary rule now checks three things: the currency, the pay period, and the amount. So it reads like a full sentence — when the currency is ZAR, and the pay is monthly, and the salary is at least R50,000.

A full history: Project Activity History now covers every tab on the project, not just some of them. That includes who made and edited each version of the spec.

Landing Page Builder improvements: The Properties tab in the Landing Page Builder got an upgrade and now syncs with your Styles settings. Your layout changes now stick when you save. And bringing in another template’s code no longer breaks the page.

  • Smaller things you asked for:
    • Turn a project on straight from the Project List. No need to open it first.
    • Commission is now a salary type.
    • Botswana Pula (BWP) is now a supported currency.
    • Skills tests now show all your questions by default when randomised.
    • Big PDFs open much faster.
    • The Job function list is now searchable.
    • Candidates can now search Wamlyjobs by country name.

🛠️ Bug Fixes

  • Background checks finish the job: One failed check used to stop every check after it. Now each check runs on its own.
  • New documents show up right away: Replace a candidate’s document and you now see the new file, not the old one.
  • Reset Branding works properly: It now resets your Candidate Journey branding too.
  • Page previews behave: Draft projects no longer break the preview picker. And your published changes show up instead of an old copy.
  • No more crash on the Security tab: My Organisation → Security no longer crashes when you click Edit Configuration with SSO on. It also stopped warning you about changes you never made.
  • Small visual fixes: The overall rating keeps its colour when you go back. Dragging a candidate into an empty stage now moves them straight away. And a project name with a comma in it no longer loses its industry.
  • Candidate uploads: We fixed the errors some candidates saw when uploading a CV or document.

📌 Two things to know

These change something you already do.

  1. Candidate links now use a new address. New invite links, careers page links and short links now point to https://jobs.wamly.io. They used to point to https://my.wamly.io. Your old links still work. But if you put Wamly candidate links on your own website, or you have a firewall rule for them, please check.
  2. The candidate account has a new home. It is now at https://jobs.wamly.io/profile. The old https://my.wamly.io/candidate address still works and sends people to the right place. If you have shared that old link anywhere, please update it.
