Product Update - Staging & Tagging (28 May 2025)

We’re excited to bring you a fresh batch of features that give you more control and visibility over your hiring process. Whether you’re managing 5 applications or 500, this release is all about clarity, flexibility, and getting things done faster, without friction.
Here’s what’s new:

Goodbye Statuses, Hello Stages & Tags

In the past, application statuses were doing too much—they were being used both to track a candidate’s stage in the process (e.g. Interviewing, Hired) and to describe attributes or workflows (e.g. Referred, Docs Required). This overlap often caused confusion and made it harder to keep your pipeline clean and structured.

With this release, we’ve made a big improvement:

Statuses are now split into Application Stages and Application Tags, each with a clear purpose.
Application Stages define where the candidate is in your hiring pipeline.
Application Tags let you add flexible, custom labels to candidates that help you filter, group, and track them across stages and projects.

This simple split gives you:
  • A structured way to move candidates through your workflow.
  • Flexible tagging for deeper filtering, tracking, and collaboration.
  • Cleaner pipelines, clearer reports, and better decisions.

And now with that clarity in place, we’ve also introduced some exciting new ways to work 👇

Kanban View for Applications

Managing large volumes of candidates can be overwhelming. That’s why we’ve introduced an entirely new visual way to work: the Kanban view.
Think of it like a digital hiring board—each stage is a column, and every candidate is a card you can move around.

What’s possible:
Drag and drop candidates between stages with ease.
Quickly scan where each candidate is in the process.
Expand any stage for deeper focus and quick actions.
See real-time updates between Kanban and Table views.

Why you’ll love it:
The Kanban board gives you a clear, intuitive overview of your entire hiring pipeline. It helps you spot bottlenecks, stay organised, and keep things moving—especially when you’re managing multiple roles or high volumes

Organise Your Pipeline with Application Tagging

Labels are great, but we’ve taken them to the next level with application tags.
You can now tag candidates with custom labels that help you filter, group, and track across stages and projects.

Use tags to:
Mark standout candidates (“Top Pick”, “Needs Follow-Up”, “Internal Referral”).
Track special workflows (“Needs Psychometrics”, “Waiting on HR”).
Quickly filter and search using tags on the Rating screen and All Applications screen.

Bonus:
Raters can apply existing tags to candidates, keeping things structured.
Tags now show up directly in your reports, giving more context at a glance.

Why it helps:
No more messy notes or trying to remember who’s who. Tags make your pipeline searchable, filterable, and instantly understandable.

Grouped Table View – Structure Meets Simplicity

Prefer working with a table layout but want the clarity of stages? We’ve got you.
Now, the Table view can group candidates by stage, just like a Kanban board but in a structured list format.

With this update:
You’ll see clear stage headers helping you immediately understand where each candidate is.
You can collapse and expand stage groups to focus on what matters most.
Tags, raters, and statuses are all visible at a glance—no need to dig.

Why it helps:
It’s like adding chapter headings to your hiring story: you can quickly jump to the part you want, focus only on candidates in Review, or scan through those in Offer Pending without the noise.

Additional Fixes

  1. Fixed an issue where video uploads on Safari would sometimes result in an error.
  2. Issues affecting psychometric score filtering have been resolved, ensuring more accurate candidate insights.

That’s it for this release, but these new tools are designed to grow with you.
We hope they bring clarity and confidence to every hiring decision you make.
