Project Filters & Candidate Search — Tips & Tricks

We've seriously levelled up our filter game. The new filter panel gives you one clean, unified place to slice through your candidates — with multi-select power, smarter search, and settings that remember what you were doing. Here's how to get the most out of it.

The big wins

  • Your filters remember you. Flip on the Remember Filters toggle (top right of the panel) and Wamly holds onto your selections, search terms, and sorting between visits. Come back tomorrow and your view is exactly how you left it — no rebuilding your search from scratch.
  • One filter component, everywhere. The same unified panel now powers filtering across All Applications, Project Details, and form fields — so it behaves the same way no matter where you are.
  • Multi-select everything. Tick as many values as you like within a filter and Wamly returns anyone who matches. Want both Female and Male applicants in one view? Select both — done.

Tips for faster searching

1. Search for the filter itself. The left-hand list holds a lot of filter categories — Application Completion, Assigned Raters, Average Rating, Candidate Form Status, Checks Consent, Checks Status, My Ratings, Psychometric Status, Psychometrics Results, Raters Completed, Skills Test Results, Stage, Tags, Video Interview Status, Date of Birth, Gender, Nationality, and more. Instead of scrolling, type into Search filters… at the top to jump straight to the one you need.

2. Search inside a filter too. Once you pick a category, use the second search box (e.g. Search Checks Status… or Search Gender…) to find a specific value fast. Handy when a list is long, like Tags or Nationality.

3. Use All / None as shortcuts. Every category has All and None buttons. Start with All and untick the few you don't want, or hit None and build your selection from scratch — whichever is fewer clicks.

4. Watch the Results count. The Results: X label tells you how many options exist in that category before you start ticking, so you know the range you're working with.

5. Read the status colours at a glance. In Checks Status, each option is colour-coded so you can spot what you need instantly:

  • PASS — check completed and cleared
  • PENDING — awaiting action or results
  • PROCESSING — currently running
  • ACTION NEEDED — needs your input to proceed
  • FAIL — check did not pass
  • CANCELLED — check was stopped
  • ERROR — something went wrong and the check couldn't complete

6. Combine filters to zero in. Filters stack across categories. Pair, say, Stage + Checks Status: Action Needed + Assigned Raters: me to surface exactly the candidates waiting on you today.

7. Keep an eye on "X applied". The counter in the bottom-left shows how many filters are currently active — a quick sanity check for why your list looks the way it does.

Committing (and clearing) your filters

  • Apply locks in your selections and updates the candidate list.
  • Reset clears everything back to zero so you can start fresh.
  • Cancel closes the panel without changing your current view.
