Things have moved (on purpose): Your new project creation journey

Noticed a few things aren’t where you left them in your project details window? You’re not imagining it. We’ve upgraded the project creation journey and moved a few features around — because, honestly, it just made sense.

Whether you’re a Wamly veteran hunting for a tab that’s wandered off, or brand new and wondering what all these tabs do in the first place, this is your map. Let’s walk through the journey, tab by tab, in the order you’ll meet them.

1. Specification

This tab is now home to just two things: your Basic Info (project name and department) and your Additional Info (job title, summary, location and compensation). Fill these in and move along — everything else has found a better home.

2. Attract

Speaking of better homes: the Attract tab is now your single home for everything related to candidate sourcing. Your job board sharing platforms (like Wamlyjobs and Adzuna) are still here, but now they’re joined by your landing pages — both the general Careers Page and individual Project Pages. Managing your candidate-attraction ecosystem just got cleaner and more intuitive than ever.

3. Emails

Nothing changed here — but if you’re new, this is where your team and candidate email settings live. Streamline your hiring workflow with automated email updates for both sides: email the project team the moment an application is submitted, or notify the project admin once the team has finished rating a candidate.

For applicant outreach, pick a custom invitation email template (there’s a default if you don’t), and switch on automated reminders to gently nudge candidates to finish their applications. Less chasing, more hiring.

4. Users & Access

First introduced in our permissions release, your project team is the group of active contributors you’ve hand-picked to drive your hiring project forward. Need a refresher on managing your team and their specific permissions? It’s all here.

5. Stages

Also not brand new, but worth a reminder: you can fully customise your hiring workflow with any stages you prefer — New, Screening, Shortlist, Rejected, Hired, you name it. Behind the scenes, they map to standardised categories to keep your Wamly reporting clean.

Enterprise clients get an extra trick: granular, stage-level permissions to control team access at every step of the process. Still frowning? Our previous product release guide has you covered. Click here.

6. Psychometrics

Familiar to many of you, and still one of our most powerful tools for aligning talent with your team’s needs. If you’re new: Wamly lets you send psychometric assessments directly to candidates within a project, measuring their personality, drive, and mental agility to ensure a perfect role fit.

There are three core assessment types: Behavioural Competence, Motivations, and Cognitive Ability (available at both Academic and General levels). Assessments run on psychometric credits, pre-loaded to your organisation during subscription setup. Want the full details? Read more here.

7. Background Checks

Same reliable background checks you already know and trust. New here? Wamly’s integrated background checks let you run essential verifications, criminal history, credit, and qualification checks, directly within the platform. Because candidate data and consent are collected upfront, the process is both instant and fully compliant.

Just make sure you have sufficient credits in your Wamly Wallet, and you’re ready to run your checks. Need more info? Click here.

8. Intro Video

Our Intro Video feature has a brand-new home in its own tab! Record and upload a personalised company video to give candidates a warm welcome and a glimpse into your company culture, before they begin their video interview. First impressions work both ways.

9. Forms

Forms still gives you a quick, ready-made starting point for your candidate application forms. To keep things simple, core contact details — name, email, and mobile number — are permanently built into every form, so you always capture the essentials. You can also add smart fields to collect verified information like IDs, qualifications, and driver’s licences. Read more here.

10. Skills Test

Simply select your preferred skills test from the dropdown. If you’re new to this one: it screens applicants using automatically graded, multiple-choice technical tests, and you can set a custom passing score to automatically filter out candidates who don’t make the cut. Once enabled, the test appears right after candidates submit their application form, keeping their experience smooth and seamless.

11. Video Interview

And finally: the video interview, the last stop in your project creation journey. Create your own questions or pick from our pre-made templates — reusable blueprints for your one-way video interviews that standardise questions and candidate preparation times across similar roles.

Coming after the application form and skills test, these questions give you a genuine look at your applicants before you ever meet them. Build your interview guide from scratch, or grab a ready-to-go template and get started.
